Buddhist monk, philosopher and renown author and photographer. Ricard spent much time at Gene Smith's house in New Delhi, India when he first became interested in Buddhism in the 1960’s.  He has been a key leader in preserving the traditions of his first mentor and Gene Smith’s second teacher, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
